Set against the dynamic backdrop of the Imagica Theme Park and just off the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, the Radisson Hotel stands as a contemporary retreat woven with urban sophistication and a strong sense of place. Designed by Designers Group, the project strikes a balance between thoughtful spatial planning, operational fluidity, and a contextual design narrative that subtly reflects the cultural and natural essence of its surroundings.

Previously functioning under the Ramada Hotels brand, the property underwent a transformative redesign following its acquisition by Radisson Hotels. Rather than altering the core architectural framework, the intervention focused on reconfiguring spaces, upgrading materiality, and aligning the property with Radisson’s global brand standards. The result is a cohesive hospitality environment enriched with a modern design language that prioritizes guest comfort, aesthetic refinement, and experiential clarity.

Regional identity is embedded through curated design gestures and bespoke artwork. Monochrome visuals depicting Khandala’s misty hills and cascading waterfalls serve as emotive references to the local landscape, strengthening the connection between the interiors and their geographic setting. These subtle cues ground the hotel in its context while preserving a global appeal.

The proximity to Imagica shaped both programmatic and architectural decisions, enhancing the hotel’s value as a leisure destination between Mumbai and Lonavala. Limited floor-to-floor heights posed a structural challenge, addressed through dramatic lobby cut-outs that introduce vertical visual relief and spatial openness. Circulation pathways and guest rooms were strategically oriented to reduce exposure to a nearby high-tension line, demonstrating a sensitive blend of safety and design acumen.

A wide array of amenities caters to varied guest profiles — families on holiday, business travelers, and social event attendees. Picturesque views frame the guest rooms, while lifestyle spaces such as the bar and lounge, an all-day dining restaurant, a terrace café, and wellness-focused pool and spa enrich the hospitality experience. For celebrations and corporate gatherings, the hotel includes expansive banquets, lush lawns, technologically equipped meeting rooms, and business centers.

The interiors embrace an “urban resort” philosophy — understated yet elevated, durable yet warm. Subdued tones, refined textures, and long-lasting finishes ensure both visual sophistication and operational efficiency.

With its strategic location, intelligent design response, and versatility of use, Radisson emerges as a landmark hospitality destination that effortlessly bridges leisure, business, and escape.
