Baldiwala Edge
Baldiwala Edge is a design studio led by Ali Baldiwala, a creative thinker known for crafting expressive, meaningful interiors rooted in individuality. A graduate of Rachna Sansad School of Interior Design, Ali established the studio in 2008, carving his own creative identity independent of his father, Bakir Baldiwala. His work is driven by original ideas, unexpected material combinations, and a strong sense of drama—balanced by a refined, timeless aesthetic.
At the heart of Ali’s approach is an intuitive understanding of the human connection to space. He considers the emotional touchpoints, daily habits, and aspirations of each client to shape environments that are not only functional but also deeply personal. Whether designing penthouses, villas, offices, or compact studios, his portfolio reflects a strong command over diverse typologies and a love for experimentation.
Ali draws inspiration from music, cinema, and everyday moments—often allowing these influences to shape the mood and narrative of a space. He frequently collaborates with artisans and product designers to conceptualize bespoke furniture and décor, ensuring each project feels one-of-a-kind.
In 2020, Ali introduced Inside The Box, a virtual design consultation service that allows him to work with clients across India, providing thoughtful, remote design solutions without compromising on creativity or connection.
Dynamic yet grounded, Ali continues to explore new design frontiers while staying true to his belief that meaningful spaces are built from understanding, experimentation, and a deep respect for individuality.
Tucked away in the kinetic heart of Bombay, Still Stream is a 4BHK apartment envisioned as a sanctuary for a young professional couple seeking repose from the city’s restless rhythm. The home doesn’t just provide shelter—it offers emotional equilibrium, crafting an introspective haven layered with sensorial harmony. Designed as a narrative of contrasts, the space draws from the energy of urban life and softens it into an eloquent duet of stillness and flow. From the den to the mandir, every space carries the personality of its inhabitants while celebrating silence as much as movement. Minimalist lines meet maximalist expressions—where art, materiality, and texture evolve across rooms without excess. The result is a deeply meditative home, where every transition feels like a pause between musical notes—quiet, intentional, yet beautifully resonant.

Each room contributes to a poetic narrative, balancing restraint with character, stillness with motion. Located in bustling Bombay, this apartment becomes a rare refuge that doesn’t retreat from the city but rises above it—an ever-flowing stream of thoughtful design and personal calm.
