The MyWhoosh Cycling Hub blends architecture, nature, and virtual sport, featuring a dynamic infinity loop that serves as a cycling track. Integrated with a desert oasis and community park, the hub merges immersive training, sustainable design, and multiple viewpoints, creating a futuristic, engaging, and socially connected space for global cycling enthusiasts.
The MyWhoosh Cycling Hub in the UAE transforms the concept of fitness and community into an architectural experience that is as dynamic as the sport it celebrates. Inspired by the desert oasis—a place of rest, sustenance, and gathering—the hub embodies the essence of connection, both to nature and to a global cycling community. At the heart of the design lies an infinity loop, a symbol of limitless possibilities, which has been translated into a functional, immersive cycling track for the MyWhoosh platform.
The building merges virtual and real-world experiences seamlessly. Externally, the hub integrates with a landscaped community park, where gradual transitions from the land to the oasis hill create inviting public spaces that encourage interaction, leisure, and wellness. Internally, the infinity loop guides cyclists through a state-of-the-art virtual hub, allowing them to train, race, or compete in a simulated world while remaining connected to the natural environment outside. This duality of experiences—immersive technology within a tangible, life-filled landscape—makes the hub both futuristic and rooted.
The dynamic form of the infinity loop ensures that the building presents multiple profiles from different angles, creating a constantly changing architectural expression. The loop is not merely symbolic; it functions as a cycling track, merging design intent with purpose. The use of GFRC panels for the façade, paired with integrated solar panels employing BIPV technology, emphasizes sustainability and energy efficiency, blending innovation with environmental responsibility.
Throughout the design process, careful consideration was given to visual connectivity, spatial flow, and the balance between nature and technology. Landscaped terraces, views of hilly terrain, and gradual slopes cultivate a strong connection between the hub and its surroundings. The result is a place where cyclists, enthusiasts, and visitors experience the thrill of virtual racing while enjoying the serenity and life of the desert oasis. The MyWhoosh Cycling Hub is more than a building—it is a living, breathing testament to community, sustainability, and the infinite possibilities of human performance.
