Jolene is a project where design is deeply rooted in its environment. Drawing from the serenity of the ocean views and the gentle rhythm of the tropical landscape, the entire concept was crafted to allow the surrounding beauty to take center stage. The design language is intentionally quiet and organic, allowing nature’s charm to breathe through every element. Materials like honed limestone, textured plaster, bamboo, and raffia evoke a raw and grounded sensibility, while accents of oakwood, travertine pillars, and brushed brass introduce a layer of richness and refinement.
Designing for Celebration and Comfort
From the moment you step in, Jolene sets a tone that’s festive, carefree, and flirty — a space meant for celebrating life. Its sprawling open-plan layout invites a mix of moods and moments, from cosy catch-ups to communal gatherings. Whether you’re sinking into plush sofas by the sea, sharing a meal at elegant dining tables, or catching up over cocktails at the bar, each seating zone offers a unique vibe, ensuring every visit feels personal and layered with new memories.
A Palette that Echoes the Shoreline
The visual palette is where Jolene truly merges with its context. Dominated by creamy whites and warm beiges, the interiors seamlessly blend with the surrounding seascape. This monotone colour scheme, far from being monotonous, evokes calm and continuity — both visually and emotionally. Soft, indirect lighting enhances this sense of ease, working with natural textures to create an atmosphere that is as inviting by day as it is electric by night.
Organic by Intent, Warm by Design
Materiality plays a starring role in building Jolene’s distinct character. Elements like bamboo, raffia, and wood not only ground the space in authenticity but also add a tactile warmth that engages the senses. The design moves gently between indoors and outdoors, formal and informal, sunlight and shadows — always aiming to evoke a feeling of natural ease and coastal comfort. Every detail is curated to amplify the experience, not distract from it.
