Klub Karma by ATPL Lighting is a finalist in the Exterior Lighting category at the LiDAI Lighting Awards 2024 — a finely tuned lighting design that enhances serenity, sustainability, and architectural expression at a luxury golf resort.
Tucked into the verdant, 300-acre expanse of Karma Lakelands near New Delhi, Klub Karma is a haven for nature lovers, golfers, and luxury seekers alike. But it’s not just the sweeping views or world-class amenities that draw you in—it’s the intelligent, atmospheric lighting, meticulously designed by ATPL Lighting, that transforms this destination into a visual masterpiece after sundown.
Collaborating closely with the architectural and interior design teams, ATPL Lighting created a low-impact yet high-impact scheme that prioritizes both user experience and ecological responsibility. The lighting design focuses on two key facades: the Pool Side and the Golf Course-facing façade, each celebrating contrast—between light and dark, smooth and textured, black and white.
The Pool Side façade, once a stark black mass, is redefined through internal illumination of newly introduced white jaalis, crafting rhythmic silhouettes against the night. The pool’s vivid turquoise glow, flanked by illuminated marble feature walls and floating benches lit with concealed RGBs, adds layers of elegance and functionality.
On the Golf Course side, a double-height colonnade comes alive through chandeliers, cove lights, and focused uplighting. Asymmetrical beams sculpt angular portals, while spike lights softly highlight the surrounding landscape and trees.
Throughout the project, ATPL Lighting has balanced technical precision with emotional resonance, ensuring minimal glare, low light pollution, and seamless integration with the resort’s natural setting.
