Concept Note

NOHO is a timeless Asian dining and bar experience shaped through the strength and versatility of metal. Rich textures, deep red hues, and bold metallic elements create a dramatic yet intimate atmosphere. With live culinary counters, global flavours, and Silk Route-inspired cocktails, NOHO blends craft, culture, and spectacle into an unforgettable destination.
Design Studio

When we set out to design NOHO, our goal was to create a place that would stand the test of time in a world driven by fleeting trends. We began by exploring metals — timeless, versatile, and unyielding. Like NOHO itself, metal can be shaped into almost anything, resists wear, and never cracks under pressure.

The space evolved into a bold fusion of brass, copper, iron, and steel. We honoured NOHO’s Asian roots by pairing these metallic elements with a deep red palette. Floor-to-ceiling abacus-style grills, bold chandelier beams, cascading lights above the bar, copper-and-gold wall panels in the live kitchen, and sleek black chrome bar fronts — every detail was crafted to spark curiosity and elevate the sensory experience.

We wanted the restaurant to feel intimate, sophisticated, and endlessly revisit-worthy. Three circular stations define the main floor plan: a central bar, a sushi bar on one side, and a teppanyaki counter on the other, allowing guests to witness skill and flavour come alive. Upstairs, the terrace extends the cocktail bar’s energy while shaping its own character. Its island bar features metallic ceramic cladding inspired by Asian geometry, crowned with a sculptural stalactite-like formation hiding a shimmering golden core that glows after dusk, creating intrigue from every angle.

Even the façade reinforces this philosophy, wrapped entirely in metal and softened with lush greenery, ensuring the space always feels relevant, vibrant, and alive.

The menu is crafted with equal intention. Ninety-five dishes celebrate Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, and broader Asian influences. From sizzling Korean stone bowls to delicate sushi, from the smoky depth of robatayaki to the theatre of teppanyaki — each dish delights multiple senses through aroma, flavour, and movement.

A defining element of NOHO is its lineup of live counters: sushi, teppanyaki, and a rooftop robata grill. Drinks explore ingredients along the historic Silk Route connecting Europe and Asia. Poppy seeds, oranges, tomatoes, and other staples shape eleven signature cocktails, complemented by seven beautifully perfected classics.

NOHO is more than a place to dine or drink. It is an experience layered in metal, flavour, craft, and story — one designed to keep you returning for more, every single time.
