Concept Note

This office design balances openness and privacy, integrating art, natural light, and landscape elements throughout. A central reception divides staff and executive zones, each defined by thoughtful planning and refined materials. Curved forms, seamless services, and curated artworks create a cohesive, contemporary workspace that inspires creativity, comfort, and collaboration.
Alfaz Miller & Aahana Miller - ABM

ABM was invited to design a large office space where the client envisioned a workplace enriched with integrated art and a refined sense of sophistication. The design approach balances transparency and enclosure, using glass partitions to bring in light while solid walls create curated surfaces for art. Landscape elements are subtly woven into the interiors, establishing a refreshing connection to nature. The layout is organized around a central reception that separates two distinct wings: one for the staff and the other for the executives.

The shared reception is a welcoming hub with a comfortable lounge and adjacent meeting rooms. A marble-clad reception desk stands before a sweeping curved wall that introduces softness to circulation. One wing leads to the staff zone, a functional expanse of departmental workstations, private cabins, meeting rooms, and a cafeteria. At its entrance, two mirrored meeting rooms expand the perception of space, enhancing a previously narrow corridor.

Workstations are arranged to encourage collaboration, while central meeting rooms support the design teams. The cafeteria radiates warmth with a veneer ceiling and mirrored tile-clad walls. Rounded corners and curved glass soften the geometry across the space. A concealed cove detail hides AC grills neatly, and services are seamlessly integrated into the ceiling, achieving a clean minimal look. Art is strategically placed wherever a blank wall offers opportunity. Thoughtful lighting design enhances circulation and work efficiency, ensuring every area feels bright, comfortable, and well-defined. The planning supports seamless movement, fosters productivity, and promotes a cohesive spatial experience for all users daily.

The executive wing establishes a distinct sense of exclusivity. Its reception features a Corian-clad desk with an integrated planter. Behind it, nine canvas panels form a striking backdrop, framed by woven artworks by Paresh Maity and Brinda Miller, celebrating the client’s appreciation for art. This zone includes director cabins, meeting rooms, a boardroom, a VIP dining room, and executive washrooms.

While curved glass maintains visual continuity with the staff zone, the executive palette stands apart. Materials such as marble, veneer, leather, metal inlays, and PU finishes elevate the overall aesthetic, crafting an environment that reflects leadership, comfort, and prestige.
