About Dipen Gada and Associates

Dipen Gada & Associates (DGA) is a Vadodara-based multidisciplinary design practice known for its thoughtful balance between functionality and aesthetics. Established in 1993 by Dipen Gada, a civil engineering graduate from M.S. University, Vadodara, the studio began as a modest interior design firm. Over the years, it has evolved into a respected architectural and planning studio with a diverse body of work across residential, commercial, and institutional typologies.

At the heart of DGA’s philosophy lies a commitment to minimalism, innovation, and timelessness. The firm approaches each project with a deep sensitivity to context and a desire to go beyond the conventional. Every design is seen as an opportunity to explore new spatial possibilities, while maintaining a disciplined approach to scale, materiality, and human experience.

DGA takes on select projects where it can be involved holistically—from the early stages of architectural ideation to the final layers of interior detailing. This integrated approach ensures that every space tells a cohesive story and reflects the client’s aspirations in both form and function.

With a strong belief in responsible and responsive architecture, the studio aims to leave a meaningful impact through designs that are grounded, honest, and enduring. Over the years, DGA’s work has consistently resonated within the design community and continues to inspire through its clarity of thought, craftsmanship, and pursuit of spatial excellence.

It all began with a garden. When a client from the infrastructure and real estate sector set out to create Shivalaya—a building that would house both their office and home—they chose a plot that opened westward into a serene, green space. The idea was simple yet profound: build an office that breathes with nature. Designed by Architect Ruchir Seth, the five-storey brick-and-concrete structure took shape with a clear intent—to bring in light, openness, and energy. For the interiors, Dipen Gada & Associates (DGA) was brought on board with a focused brief: make it functional, make it warm, and most importantly, make it alive. Spread across the third, fourth, and terrace floors, the workspace reflects a clean, contemporary aesthetic with raw industrial undertones. From art installations to natural finishes and an animated use of color, every detail speaks of intention. And it all starts from that west-facing garden path.

Design Highlights :

  • Dalí-inspired sculptural screen along the colorful entrance aisle

  • Red metal staircase energizing the double-height waiting zone

  • Coral kota stone wall etched with motivational quotes

  • Industrial grey workstations with open ceilings and exposed services

  • Art by Chandra Shekhar and Avinash adding soul to the interiors

  • Rooftop terrace with pantry and seating for lunch, play, and pause

Summary :
Shivalaya’s interiors by DGA beautifully echo the client’s desire for a space that’s functional yet emotionally rich. With a focus on natural light, industrial-modern aesthetics, and curated art, the office goes beyond being just a workspace—it becomes a space of daily inspiration. The terrace floor offers moments of community and calm, while every corner of the office reflects a dialogue between design and purpose. A perfect balance of architecture, energy, and soul.
