KULx Studio

KULx Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice rooted in the Sanskrit word “KUL” (कुल), which symbolizes “family” and “community.” This ethos drives the studio’s holistic, collaborative, and human-centric approach to design. Founded by Kush Bhayani, an architect with a background from the University of Illinois and experience in real estate, KULx Studio blends design intelligence with strategic thinking to create meaningful spatial and sensory experiences.

The studio offers a wide range of services — from architecture and interior design to retail branding, styling, and product development. Whether it's crafting bespoke furniture, curating fabrics, or experimenting with sneakers and jewelry, KULx thrives on pushing creative boundaries across design scales and disciplines.

At its core, KULx Studio is built on the spirit of collaboration — partnering not just with architects and designers, but also with karigars, artists, contractors, and clients. Every project is seen as a co-creation, where diverse perspectives are welcomed and innovation is constant.

With a dynamic, future-forward team that values craftsmanship, technology, and narrative-driven design, KULx Studio is dedicated to building spaces and products that reflect identity, intention, and cultural resonance — shaping experiences that feel both personal and universal.

About the Project

Crafted by KULx Studio, the home is a seamless fusion of calm minimalism and expressive detailing—perfectly echoing the family's lifestyle and personal aesthetics.

The living room makes a grounded yet artistic statement. Earth-toned micro-concrete walls, custom furniture including a two-sided sofa (co-designed with Amardeep Design), and pendants by Name Place Animal Thing set a tone that is both warm and modern. A dining table carved from cured wood and translucent onyx makes for a functional art piece, surrounded by handpicked rugs from Loops by LJ and Understorey Rugs that anchor the space with texture and depth.

Each room is a study in quiet luxury. The bedrooms frame unobstructed views of the Arabian Sea, offering a meditative retreat from city life. Outdoors, the lushly landscaped terrace blurs the line between nature and nurture—ideal for reflection or entertaining under open skies.

Throughout, the design reflects the thoughtful process KULx Studio is known for: open dialogue, functional elegance, and material honesty. Jaaved Jaaferi’s home is not just beautifully made—it’s deeply lived in and emotionally resonant.

This is more than a celebrity home—it’s a masterclass in mindful modern living.
