About the Project

"Why not carry forward this 30-year legacy by introducing something the neighborhood has been missing- a comfortable dining space with a touch of vibrancy where people can pause, unwind, and truly experience?" That was the question our client brought to the table in our very first meeting.
Located in the heart of the city and surrounded by two large lush green pockets, central railway station, bus stand, metro interchange & largest market of the city. The site is located within 30 years building that has made his benchmark in the hoteling industry.
The design focuses on creating a comfortable spaces. Being known as Garden city and serene climate have inspired to create a restaurant that embodies this tropical spirit. The design emphasizes an organic spatial flow, with elements inspired by natural forms and structures, and Art Deco undertones that echo this organic elegance. This vision comes together in a boutique dining experience.
Natural materials like terracotta, stone plaster, banana fiber paper, cane & wood find their way in interiors in the form of furniture, customized lighting and ceilings. The reclaimed chips from the demolition process have been used in approx. 30% of the area is cast in situ terrazzo. With its plethora of textures, approx. half of surface area is treated with earthy colors and remaining with tropical hand-painted artwork. Fluted MDF panels are treated with a concrete texture that adds a rhythm to punctuated columns. Outdoor spaces are reimagined with a natural palette with lush greenery that sets a tranquil tone by creating a serene & inviting atmosphere.
The renovation, spanning 16 months, was a complex process of adapting 30 years old structure for modern needs, overcoming challenges with existing services from the 60 rooms of hotel on upper floors. Integrating the staircase and bridge without any additional vertical support into the existing structure was one of the most challenging yet exciting aspects of the design.
Brand’s this initiative has already influenced others in the area, setting a new benchmark for quality dining in the locality. The restaurant not only elevates local hospitality but also contributes to reducing traffic by providing desired dining experience for travelers and residents. This project exemplifies the positive change the brand aims to bring to the community, offering a fresh perspective on dining and design.
