Space Goals Design Studio
Space Goals Design Studio is a forward-thinking architecture and interior design practice based in India, founded in 2020 by architects Siddharth Gokhale and Gaurav Shankaran, with Priyansh Seth joining the leadership team in 2023. United by a shared vision to craft spaces that are both purposeful and impactful, the studio operates on a core philosophy: “Spaces with goals, spaces for goals.” This belief drives their commitment to designing environments that go beyond aesthetics—spaces that are functionally relevant, emotionally resonant, and deeply aligned with each client’s aspirations.
Specializing in residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, the studio’s portfolio includes a diverse range of works such as private bungalows, farmhouses, resorts, and interior spaces across India. From intimate homes to expansive design commissions, each project is approached with a holistic design mindset—balancing spatial efficiency, environmental sensitivity, and human-centered aesthetics.
What sets Space Goals Design Studio apart is its collaborative and context-sensitive approach, where each project emerges from a deep understanding of user behavior, site dynamics, and cultural identity. The studio places equal emphasis on sustainability, functionality, and innovation, ensuring that the spaces they create are not only timeless but also socially and environmentally responsible.
From conceptual development to final execution, Space Goals Design Studio strives to create user-friendly, adaptable, and uplifting spaces that leave a lasting impact on those who inhabit them. Their goal isn’t just to design buildings—it’s to build better experiences.
The Paradigm Shift by Space Goals Design Studio is a Top 6 finalist in the “Interior Design – Residential Villa & Bungalow” category at the VOX Architecture Ideas 2024 competition — a soulful transformation of a compact home into a light-filled, emotionally resonant space rooted in cultural heritage.
Area: 3000 sq. ft.
Sometimes, the most powerful design decisions begin with a desire for change. For one family, the challenge was not just to escape the limitations of their former urban home, but to craft a new life—one that felt open, grounded, and deeply personal. The Paradigm Shift is that journey, reimagined through architecture and interior design.
Led by Principal Architects Siddharth Gokhale, Gaurav Shankaran, and Priyansh Seth, the team at Space Goals Design Studio approached the project with a clear intention: to create a home that feels expansive, nurturing, and connected to the family’s roots.
The design began with structural clarity—removing walls and widening openings to allow light, air, and a sense of freedom to flow throughout the home. These decisions did more than solve spatial issues; they redefined how the family interacts with their surroundings, creating a seamless sense of openness without losing the intimacy that makes a house feel like home.
Inside, the team curated material choices that tell a story. Exposed brick cladding brought warmth and nostalgia into the interiors, while the exterior’s patterned brick masonry provided both a striking visual identity and protection against the southern sun. Every finish was carefully considered, balancing aesthetics with comfort and climate.
At the heart of this project was a commitment to preserve emotional and cultural ties. The use of brick and exposed concrete speaks not only to tradition, but also to resilience. These elements, timeless yet tactile, anchor the new design in the family’s heritage while embracing a modern sensibility.
The transformation wasn’t about luxury—it was about legacy, and creating a space where both memories and new moments could flourish.
