Where Raw Materials Meet Purpose: A Bold Office for Builders in Pune

A Workspace Rooted in Construction, Collaboration & Character

What happens when four friends in the construction industry dream of an office that reflects their passion for building, their love for minimalism, and their desire for transparency? You get the Quad Group Office — a striking industrial-inspired workspace imagined by Piyush Chorbele Architects (PCA).

This 1170 sq.ft office sits atop a mezzanine floor inside a former food grain store in Pune’s bustling Market Yard. The vision was clear: create an open-plan office where communication flows freely, and the materiality mirrors the essence of the builders who inhabit it.

The design embraces rawness. Exposed cement sheets, blue-and-grey flooring, and rugged metal finishes frame the space. Custom quotes etched on cement panels add a personal touch, while leftover materials were repurposed into bespoke light fixtures — bringing the ethos of "nothing wasted, everything transformed" to life.

The layout amplifies openness without losing intimacy. A pop of yellow threads through the cool-toned palette, energizing the subdued textures with a sense of vibrancy. By blending industrial tones with minimal elegance, PCA has crafted a space that’s as practical as it is personal.

Whether it’s the intentional use of construction materials, the clever adaptive reuse of a site, or the sleek functionality of the final form — this office stands as a celebration of architectural honesty.
