Located in the heart of Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, Krishna’s Back to Roots is more than a store—it’s a sensory retreat into the rhythms of rural life. Designed by Geethu Gangadharan of Fellow Yellow Design Studio, this retail space embodies the spirit of authenticity, nostalgia, and conscious living. Every detail evokes a bygone era where food was pure, design was grounded in culture, and spaces fostered community.
The project seamlessly blends rustic charm with refined aesthetics. A vibrant façade welcomes visitors off the main road, painted in hues that recall the fields and skies of Indian farmland. Inside, exposed brick walls, handcrafted wooden shelves, and tactile materials evoke a village haat—but with contemporary clarity. This curated spatial experience invites exploration, storytelling, and an unhurried celebration of nature’s bounty.
The design draws inspiration from the architecture of traditional heritage homes in South India—wide entrances, earthy tones, and raw textures converge to create an environment that is humble, rooted, and deeply comforting. Yet, the layout is optimised for modern retail needs: zoning is intuitive, materials are sustainable, and the customer journey is thoughtfully choreographed.
With Krishna’s Back to Roots, Fellow Yellow Design Studio has carved out a rare balance—an immersive shopping experience that feels like coming home. It’s a space that doesn’t just sell organic produce—it embodies the organic life.
