Kaushal Tatiya Architects (KTA) is a young, award-winning multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2020 by Ar. Kaushal Tatiya and Sweety Muttha. What happens when a forgotten industrial grid becomes the foundation of a vibrant new social space? The Resurrected Grid is a bold and beautiful answer. This adaptive reuse project by KAUSHAL TATIYA ARCHITECTS reinterprets what it means to conserve, repurpose, and reframe architecture for the present day.
Rooted in sustainability and driven by context, the studio retained the structural essence of the old factory while designing an entirely new narrative around community and gathering. The restaurant’s identity emerges from a harmonious tension between old bones and new skin—exposed brick patterns, terracotta jaalis, and warm, earthen tones offset with grid-aligned fenestrations that speak to the building’s past life.
The front façade faces east, ushering in gentle morning sunlight through intricate jaali work that casts mesmerizing shadows inside, echoing the rhythm of time. Inside, the palette is deliberately raw—brick, concrete, steel—juxtaposed with softer, more vibrant interventions that create an immersive hospitality environment. Every surface, every gridline, holds a story of transformation.
KAUSHAL TATIYA ARCHITECTS approach design as an ongoing dialogue—between memory and aspiration, between form and feeling. With The Resurrected Grid, they’ve established not only a new urban landmark but also a case study in conscious, contextual architecture.
