Each project reflects the studio’s hallmark blend of contemporary aesthetics with handcrafted details—seamlessly integrating Indian crafts and traditional techniques into a modern design language.
The studio is recognized for its intuitive understanding of color, texture, and proportion, creating spaces that are both functionally efficient and visually rich. With a strong belief in customization and storytelling, Navya And A Quarter continues to push the boundaries of spatial design through innovation, versatility, and a finely tuned design sensibility that resonates with a wide range of users.
Area: 8500 sq ft
Rooted in stories rather than statements, this project began with casual breakfast conversations and car rides, as designers at Navya And A Quarter immersed themselves in the lives of their clients, renowned fashion duo Hemant and Nandita. What followed was a deeply collaborative design journey—resulting in a layered, narrative-rich residence that mirrors the couple’s heritage, wanderlust, and creative spirit.
Spanning two levels, the penthouse is divided into public zones—like the living room, dining, kitchen, and two guest bedrooms—on the lower floor, while private spaces such as the master suite, kids’ bedrooms, a lounge, and study occupy the upper level. The spatial layout was entirely reimagined, with walls moved and bathrooms reconfigured to suit the family’s lifestyle.
Navya Aggarwal’s design vision balances vintage soul and modern sophistication. Elements from the clients’ ancestral homes—like terrazzo, lime-washed textures, brass, and mulmul—are reinterpreted with a fresh lens. Cane, jute, and beadwork embellish artisanal lighting installations. Even the flooring tells a tale: bold diagonal stripes on the lower level give way to handcrafted cement tile checkers upstairs.
Pops of color were thoughtfully assigned, with bright, playful tones in the kids’ quarters and moodier hues in the lounge and study. A large concrete dining table anchors the family zone, while eclectic finds like a sleeper wood console and curated pieces from Dtale Modern and Gulmohar Lane add layers of texture and narrative. Smart home automation brings comfort and control without compromising the aesthetic warmth.
This home is not about trends—it’s about a life well-lived, expressed through materials, memories, and mindful design. It’s a modern Indian penthouse that breathes character, culture, and connection.
