Studio Dot
Dot is the beginning and the end. It is also infinite. With this philosophy at its core, Dot Architects was founded in 2019 by Shubhit Khurrana and Anmol Arora, who set out to create spaces that are both effortlessly functional and aesthetically resonant. The studio was born from a desire to explore a multitude of design ideas and reimagine them into meaningful, innovative built forms.
Since its inception, Dot has delivered a wide array of projects, ranging from residential interiors to office spaces, factories, and restaurants. Each project reflects the studio’s commitment to thoughtful design and its ability to adapt to diverse spatial narratives.
Anmol brings a grounded practicality to the studio, often balancing time between job sites and the studio itself—though he might admit he enjoys cleaning the workspace and eating pizza just as much. Having spent much of his life in transit, Anmol finds clarity in the dynamic environment of site visits and hands-on execution.
Shubhit infuses Dot with color, energy, and a distinctive sense of fun. His love for bold aesthetics and quirky design interventions has become a signature of the studio’s style. When he’s not working, he’s usually planning game nights or showing off his ever-growing sneaker collection—six pairs and counting, a notable leap in the last year.
Together, Shubhit and Anmol have cultivated a studio that embraces playfulness, precision, and originality. Dot Architects continues to grow as a creative force, shaping spaces that are as lively and layered as the people behind them.
Area: 800 sq ft
Crafted as a pop-up for Atcom Mega in the heart of Delhi, Showtime is a unique 800-square-foot retail installation that doesn’t shout—it stages. Conceptualized and executed by Anmol Arora and Shubhit Khurana of Studio Dot, the space transforms into a stage where lighting isn’t just displayed—it performs.
Responding to a brief that demanded clarity, openness, and interaction, the design unfolds as a curated journey rather than a transactional environment. At its core lies a custom pin table that acts as both a spatial anchor and a circulation guide, carving the space into zones of engagement—where visitors can observe, converse, and connect with the Atcom brand.
A braided lighting feature at the entrance greets visitors with a flourish, setting the tone for a subtle yet memorable retail story. As guests explore, strategically placed props and artwork demonstrate lighting in action, helping translate the brand’s values through design rather than hard sell. The experience is rounded off with a curated photo booth—both a branding moment and a shareable takeaway.
The material palette is restrained but deliberate—muted finishes provide a clean canvas for the vibrant lights to shine. Pops of color and interactive design features ensure that while the products are the protagonists, the space offers rhythm, curiosity, and spatial memory.
Studio Dot, an emerging architecture and design practice in Delhi, is known for pushing the boundaries of spatial storytelling. Their work, especially in retail and installation design, is characterized by a blend of thoughtful minimalism, playful interventions, and a deep understanding of user engagement.
With Showtime, they’ve crafted a pop-up that doesn’t just exhibit—it evokes. It’s a space that lets the products speak while ensuring the setting never goes unnoticed.
