Set amidst lush landscaped grounds near the Gulmohar Golf Club in Telav, Gujarat, Courtyard House by Increation Associates is a serene, 15,000 sq.ft. private residence that redefines modern living with nature at its core. Completed in 2024, the home is envisioned as a sanctuary where the built form harmoniously dissolves into the landscape. At its center is an existing tree around which the residence is gracefully planned—embracing it as a vital anchor of the design.
A Home That Blurs Boundaries Between Indoors and Outdoors
From the moment one enters, the home choreographs a sensory journey through winding pathways, reflective ponds, and sculptural stone elements. The use of exposed brick, warm-hued stone, and natural wood lends the structure an earthy permanence that resonates with its surroundings. The central courtyard functions as a thermal and spiritual core, enhancing cross-ventilation and passive cooling while nurturing a meditative ambiance.
Architecture Rooted in Nature and Rhythm
Increation Associates strikes a balance between tradition and modernism through a rhythmic interplay of open and semi-open spaces. A striking feature is the double-height atrium with a monolithic stone staircase and floating wooden treads—its green metal railing echoing the natural surroundings. The entrance itself is marked by a welcoming canopy and intricate stone paving softened with greenery.
