As the name suggests, Hideaway is more than just a home—it is a sanctuary. It is a place to escape, unwind, disconnect from the outside world, or simply savor a quiet moment with your daily cup of coffee. Conceived as a private retreat, the home offers peace, seclusion, and a sense of calm that balances modern living with comfort and warmth.
For this project, our design intent centered around a modern, clean aesthetic, realized through a monochromatic and neutral palette enriched with natural textures and tactile materials. Every piece of furniture, lighting fixture, and artwork has been thoughtfully curated and meticulously customized to align with the design vision, ensuring functionality while remaining faithful to the overall aesthetic.
Upon entering, a modest foyer gently transitions into the open-concept living and dining area. Furniture is strategically positioned along the sides, creating a spacious passage that facilitates effortless movement while maintaining a sense of intimacy and order. The living room embodies a serene, layered aesthetic grounded in soft neutrals—ivory, warm beige, and taupe—subtly contrasted by accents in black and muted greens. Natural textures, such as wood, stone, and linen, are woven throughout, grounding the space and enhancing the sensory experience, while clean silhouettes maintain visual clarity and understated elegance.
The larger of the two rooms was transformed into a master bedroom, a haven of tranquility painted in calming shades of light grey and taupe. Minimalistic detailing, such as subtle grooves, terrazzo pendant lights, and lime-wash finishes, adds refined visual interest while reinforcing the serene atmosphere. The second room was reimagined as a versatile den, adaptable for working, relaxing, or accommodating guests. Its palette is warmer and more playful, complemented by curated, pop-art-inspired pieces that reflect the clients’ personality, memories, and personal anecdotes.
Throughout Hideaway, every design decision—whether spatial, material, or decorative—was intended to reinforce the home’s identity as a retreat. The interplay of muted tones, thoughtful textures, and personalized art creates an environment that is both calming and stimulating, functional yet deeply intimate. In essence, Hideaway is a modern sanctuary where daily life slows down, experiences are savored, and every corner feels purposeful, welcoming, and profoundly personal.
