About the Project

The Gallery Home is a Bangalore residence where quiet restraint meets bold detail in a way that feels both deliberate and deeply personal. Designed by Studio NKPR, this 4BHK sits high above the city’s skyline, imagined not as a typical apartment but as an evolving composition—one that reveals itself gradually through light, texture, and art. The palette of white walls, warm timber, soft textiles, and thoughtfully curated artworks creates an atmosphere of stillness. It is the kind of silence that is felt rather than heard, shaped through measured choices rather than minimalism for its own sake.
The entry foyer introduces this sensibility with its calm, understated presence, offering a gentle pause before the home opens into the expansive living–dining core. A refined ceiling grid quietly organises the volume, lending structure without imposing boundaries. At the centre of this open plan, a custom abstract rug becomes the visual anchor, forming a cohesive dialogue between muted upholstery, warm finishes, and an orchestra of art, collectibles, and woven textures. Tucked discreetly away, a concealed Green Quartzite bar adds a touch of surprise—a single, elegant moment of drama that elevates the space without breaking its composure.
Each room in the home is designed as a variation of the same melodic theme. The master bedroom exudes warmth and steadiness through earthy notes and layered tactility. The elder daughter’s room leans into structured greys and clean lines, offering quiet sophistication, while the younger daughter’s space softens into a gentle, playful palette filled with personality. The media room embraces deeper tones, creating an intimate cocoon ideal for retreat. The hallway connecting these spaces acts as a visual reset, culminating in a striking cheetah artwork that punctuates the journey with bold energy.
Materiality remains balanced throughout, and the lighting is intentionally gentle, allowing each space to breathe. The Gallery Home is not crafted to impress instantly—it is designed to be *felt*, to be discovered slowly, and to evoke an emotional resonance that grows with time.
